No detailed ground shots: "Access to the site was denied by the manager and trespass is forbidden. (Police are investigating.)"

No aerials: this is Walmsgate in Lincolnshire, not in the heart of Wiltshire within easy reach of a microlight centre and a number of (fairly cash-strapped) crop-circle aerial photographers. You want to pay for someone to fly a plane up to Walmsgate and over the formation to take photos, constance? Great. Go ahead.

Does anyone actually give a rip about crop circles anymore? If you need to ask that, it's probably you who doesn't really give a rip.

I blame Merleau-Ponty.

Why no aerials ?

This possibly looks like one of the best formations this season..

No detailed ground shots either. For me too it appears to be one the best formations this season. Does anyone over there actually give a rip about cc anymore?

Steve Alexander on Facebook: "People keep asking me why I am not flying the formation at Walmsgate. Well I probably would do, but it will be expensive, and its at the other end of the country, so its difficult. If anyone wants to donate to our flight fund we will make the effort, but unfortunately as it stands its too expensive. Steve

There you go, constance! :D

Karen Alexander: We got a quote from a nearby helicopter company they wanted £749 per hour to fly us. The flight probably would take the whole hour. There would also be a 5 hour drive to get to the Lincolnshire helicopter place first. So you can see the problems...

 that's a very expensive chopper flight!!

i went on a tour to the grand canyon in the US last year, and it included a half hour or so chopper ride, bus ride, food etc. and it costed me under $200

Rip-off chopper hire that's for sure.

I don't think you're comparing like with like Marsoups.

Unfortunately...

By the sounds / looks of it, the circle makers made a circle in an out of the way place which is interesting. It also looks like quite an interesting, delicately produced formation. What's interesting is that it's so near to the telegraph wire. Strange place for people to want to put it..

Why, Marsoups?

And I agree with FB: you really are not comparing like with like.
